Lawrence Stanley & Hope Carr
Ned's playing is confident and unadornedly beautiful, both in his solo work and his interaction with Slava, which never falters. Slava's 34 min. solo work is very interesting, esp. (and surprisingly for me) his synthesized orchestrations, percussion and bass -- more classical/new music than free jazz.
Slava Ganelin - grand piano, synthesizer, percussion
Ned Rothenberg - clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, shakuhachi
